*OLD NEWS - PLAYER HAS TRANSFERRED TO FCF SINCE POSTING*
Fiorecitta's Pasquale Di Montezemolo admits he is flattered with the interest in the papers with him. He admitted earlier this week a move away would now be the right time but has not ruled out staying in Gaia for another year.
"I would like to move to EMUFA and play some continental football, but Gaia is still my home and like they say there is no place like home," he said.
The 17 year old defender has been linked with EMUFA Champions League Champions Port Rackham Rangers, EMUFA Cup winners Hänävissen-ó-Cräitland and recently CrFA League 1 champions Cherry Trees FC. However he has ruled out any move to countries that he believes that are not up to standards to Gaia such as Oscland.
He said, "From my days in youth I remember a guy who was about to leave called Lee Nam-Hwan. I still keep in contact with him and he is a very good friend and he has recently moved to New Luanda FC. From his early experience, he says the league is below level and I should not go there. I am too young and have too much potential to goto a nation which hasn't even got past the 1st round qualifying for the world cup."
"Talking to Guillermo [Trescrara], I think by the sound of what he says, Port Rackham is a good club but it depends what role they want me for. I want to start, not be a benchwarmer."
"However as a being from Fiorecitta, growing up here all my life and playing for my team, I have my heart for FC Fiorecittà." (Despite saying this, Di Montezemolo grew up in the southern district of Fiorecittà, traditionally being a AC Fiorecittà territory)
