Having seen the likes of Rossavro and Fiorecittà to be seized by the confederation and being under our control, the question now is how to seize our former capital of Romero.
The city itself is no-longer the predominant Tellian city it used to be. The confederation sees a struggle to convince Romersk citizens that they should join our movement, especially when you consider the fact that the majority of modern Romero are Ashkenatzi people. The question remains, on how to seize power of Romero?
Furthermore, one believes that given the recent history of the city, it is not viable for the confederation to govern from this location. This leads to the suggestion of building Amsia, a new capital where we can build brand new architecture, a new administration centre and most importantly, a place which can firmly be under Tellian control.
I wish to open this discussion up to my fellow companions and see what the rest of Tellia thinks first before making any formal decisions.

I have a feeling that our creation of Merenolitovina will be an important make-weight in regards to establishing a Tellian majority in Romero; a means to assuage the ethnic Ashkenatzi, if you will. With the ability to give them a place which they can call home and continue their ways of life and culture, the potential for Tellianising Romero is slightly heightene in theory. Practice will, of course, be a different matter given the archetypal stubbornness of both of our peoples.
Even if we are able to turn Romero into a place of Tellian majority, I feel that it wouldn't be suited as a long-term seat of government, although we could maybe use it for a short while (should we seize control) to allow for the planning and construction of Amsia. The best place to position Amsia would definitely be something to consider as well, of course!

While the most ideal proposition would be to persuade the Ashkenatzi majority to move to Merenolitovina, it is not a feasible one. We have to understand that we are a minority in the city and we should treat it fairly, or leave the migration to come naturally. Romero is a difficult situation that we have to face, but we cannot discriminate against those who currently live there regardless of how fragile our history has been.
We must accept that Romero will never be the city it once used to be, but what we can do is try and persuade more Tellian influence through culture, identity, politics and economy. Given its recent history, the city should no longer be considered a potential capital - which is why the suggestion for Amsia should go ahead. Amsia would give Tellia the opportunity to govern in an area it has full control in - once all Tellian territories are united.

Oh, of course. By all means, Merenolitovina would not be able to emigrate most of the Ashkenatzi from Romero, but it may mean there is a minority who do chose to move there instead. I completely agree that we cannot force anyone to move from their homes - as much as we Tellians were discriminated against, we can't descend into hypocrisy by treating any ethnic non-Tellians in the same way.
In regards to persuading influence within Romero, we should consider measures which would interest Tellian people from the surrounding regions to become willing to live inside the city's boundaries. The more incentive for businesses to become set-up in Romero could be an important factor, as it is such places that are integral for communities' growth and subsequent collaboration between the friends and families in the area. Despite this, I am in agreement with you that Romero is not in a state suitable for a long-term capital of this new Tellia, and I too feel that discussions and planning towards building Amsia should begin when appropriate.
