Following our official return on Micras, the FGGC are pleased to announce that its membership with the FMF (Federation Micraise de Football) will officially resume. The FGGC see this as a positive sign for not just Tellia, but the sport itself. As a founding member of a the FMF, The Gaian Confederation remains committed to its involvement within football on Micras, and will look forward to qualifying for World Cup qualifications and the prospect of bidding for the continental and intermicronational tournaments.
With regards to the transfer window, the FGGC would like to announce that transfers will resume under familiar fashion on the 1st January 2014. Details of the league fixtures are to be announced later this evening, with the prospect of the new Tellian Serie A season beginning on the weekend of 18th-19th January 2014.
Coinciding with the return to the FMF, the FGGC would like to take the time to announce the new head coach for the Tellian national football team. Following the 2013 FMF World Cup, the previous manager Angelo Perrotta informed the federation that he does not wish to extend his contract and will depart his post following the tournament. The federation accepted his decision and wishes Mr. Perrotta the best of luck for his future endeavours.
Having conducted a thorough search for a new manager, the Tellian Football Federation are pleased to announce that Craitland's Jan-Marc Yaqinsen as the new head coach of the Tellian national team. Yaqinsen, formerly manager of the Sanillan national team, is more known for his presence in Craitland as the former manager of Cherry Trees FC. During his time at capital club, he won several tournaments on multiple occasions, including both the League 1 and King's Cup titles. Alongside Zyxveldt Pellegrino, Yaqinsen was also the joint-manager of the Craitish national team, during which the Craites had a successful era of winning the World Cup on four occasions in addition to the 2011 EMU Championships. After careful consideration on multiple candidates for the role, the federation believe Mr. Yaqinsen is the best person suited for the role and we will fully support him and wish him the best for his reign as Tellian manager.
A press conference will also be announced in due course to introduce Mr. Yaqinsen to the press, while it will also be announced that Tellia will revert to wearing the pink and black colours as its home kit. The decision to revert to these colours coincides with the formation of the Gaian Confederation, and as the Tellian state, we wish to restore the historical kit in commemoration of the first Gaian football team, as well as Queen Natalie I's reign as Queen of the historic Kingdom of Gaia.
