Inter Vecchiavo have had a busy day of activity as they have completed the signing of three transfers. A deal has been agreed with Romero Sport to bring both Gerenian striker Hermes Platul and Craitish defender Jan Paulsen to Vecchiavo. Paulsen, 21, joins on a two year deal with a further extension whilst Platul joins on a three year contract.
Platul, 20, will be awarded the number 9 shirt and is hopeful that regular first-team football will allow him to break into the Gerenian national setup. "I really enjoyed my time at Romero and it has developed me as a player, but I am now at a stage where I need to get games under my belt and start playing regular football. I was proud of Gerenia when they won the Copa Apollonia this year, but I want to be that player who walks out on the pitch and gets the goals for my country rather than watching behind a screen."
The duo sign in a combined fee of Cr 2 Million, with Paulsen rumoured to be around Cr 750K, with Platul costing the rest. Paulsen, who will wear the number 5 shirt, said he was "honoured to re-join the club and will hope to fight for the club's status in the league", having previously been on loan 2 seasons ago. The Craitish defender told the press, "Inter Vecchiavo is known as the Yo-Yo club in Tellia, but we need to change that and show the nation that we can hold our own in this league. This squad is in transition and has done well to get back up. But now we plan to stay."
The biggest signing however has come to NEK midfielder Kim Yong-Woo, who joins from FC Fiorecittà for a fee of Cr 5 million. The flamboyant midfielder, who turns 28 later this year, is looking to resurrect his career after being told that he would not be in Angelo Perrotta's plans and the new number 8 will look to have a point to prove.
Meanwhile, the club's efforts to sign Gianluigi Vincenzo has failed, with both the defender and Romero believing that the player would be better off remaining at the capital club as he looks to claim his stake in the light-weight appearing back line.
