Having lost five players to retirement this summer, Kealb have made major steps towards rebuilding their squad thanks to a Cr 19 million triple-coup signing from Tellian outfit Romero Sport.
After spending last season on loan with Kealb, Craitish youngster Juan Pellegrino has returned on a permanent deal, and has evidently been spreading a good word about the club. Juan's fee covers Cr 6 million of the combined total, and will see the 20 year-old take the number 11 jersey after a fair début campaign in which he scored four goals.
Joining Juan for Cr 8 million is his elder brother, Alexis, 21. Generally held in slightly higher regard, having been drafted into Romero's senior side first of the pair, Alexis spent last term with champions Cherry Trees, but found his opportunities limited despite managing to find the net three times. With a great desire to make his international breakthrough this year, following two successful Colney Cup tournaments with the under-21s, Alexis joins Kealb for more certainty of a starting position and will wear the number 7.
Lastly, as Kealb try to replace their long-standing central midfield partnership of Joors and Mathen, Caputian Yoann Giton arrives for an additional Cr 5 million. An international with Alexandria, his chances at that level have been limited due to the strength of other players, but three World Cup squad appearances and a winning goal in the 2014 WMFA Champions' League final are evidence of the 26 year-old's ability. Hoping that a new stage of his career will kick-start a return to form and subsequent tournament football, Giton takes the number 8 shirt.
